A fundraising and awareness walk to benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network

Fundraising

We need your help to raise the most money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.   When you register for a Walk Through the Vineyards event, you get a personal fundraising website that you can customize and then send e-mails to friends and family to collect donations.

Form a Team!

We encourage you to start or join a team for the Walk Through the Vineyards event.  Download our new Team Kit to read a letter from our President and CEO, Julie Fleshman, learn how to start your own team and get great fundraising tips.

Recognition and Incentive Prizes

Everyone can win fun incentive prizes for fundraising!  Prizes this year are an Acrylic Tumbler with Straw (20 oz. BPA Free) for at least $100 raised, Purple Terry Velour Beach Towel for $250 minimum raised and a Weekender Duffel Bag for $500 minimum raised.  Raise $1,000 or more and win all three plus a PurpleStar fundraising pin!

In addition, we announce the top fundraising teams and individuals on stage and on our website.

Fundraising Tips & Ideas

  • Start a team and invite friends and family to join your team.  Many teams are formed in memory of a loved one.
  • Set a fundraising goal for yourself or your team.
  • As a team leader, encourage your team members to fundraise so the team can reach it’s goal.
  • Personalize your page with a photo and story about how pancreatic cancer has touched your life.
  • Add some pancreatic cancer facts to your page to help educate potential donors.
  • Find additional fundraising tips our Team Kit.
  • If you feel uncomfortable asking for a donation, use the email feature to invite others to join your team, attend the event or just create awareness of pancreatic cancer.  Raising awareness is very important!

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match your personal donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Check with your company for more information about their matching gift program and ask your donors to do the same. We are a 501 c (3), nonprofit, Federal ID #33-0841281.
