A walk and silent auction to benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network

Fundraising

We need your help to raise the most money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.   When you register for a Walk Through the Vineyards event, you get a personal fundraising website that you can customize and then send e-mails to friends and family to collect donations.

Ask 10 friends for $10

We encourage all participants to use the online tools to increase pancreatic cancer awareness and help raise funds for a cause we all feel passionately about. Even a small goal of just $100 will help incredibly, so ask at least 10 friends for $10 and you may be surprised with what you can raise.

Recognition and Incentive Prizes

Everyone can win fun incentive prizes for fundraising!  Prizes this year are a sports watch at $100, acrylic and steel tumbler at $250 and an all-purpose duffel bag at $500.  Raise $1,000 or more and win all three plus a PurpleStar fundraising pin!

In addition, we announce the top fundraising teams and individuals on stage and on our website.  This year, we have some additional prizes:  The top individual fundraiser and their family/guest will be the Walk Marshal and lead this year’s walk! The top fundraising team will have reserved tables for their team at the event.

Fundraising Tips & Ideas

  • Start a team and invite friends and family to join your team.  Many teams are formed in memory of a loved one.
  • Set a fundraising goal for yourself or your team.
  • As a team leader, encourage your team members to fundraise so the team can reach it’s goal.
  • Personalize your page with a photo and story about how pancreatic cancer has touched your life.
  • Add some pancreatic cancer facts to your page to help educate potential donors.
  • Find additional fundraising tips on our registration site.
  • If you feel uncomfortable asking for a donation, use the email feature to invite others to join your team, attend the event or just create awareness of pancreatic cancer.  Raising awareness is very important!

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match your personal donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Check with your company for more information about their matching gift program and ask your donors to do the same. We are a 501 c (3), nonprofit, Federal ID #33-0841281.
